Skiing - SSSA 2015 Dual Slalom Qualifier and Finals

4 teams of talented skiers from Bearsden Primary competed in the Scottish Schools Snowsports Association 2015 Dual Slalom Qualifier at Bearsden Ski & Board Club on Wednesday, 7th October 2015. A total of 132 school pupils came to race.

Bearsden Primary's Team A competed in the 'experienced' category and finished a very close second to Jordanhill, winning silver medals. They qualified for the SSSA Dual Slalom 2015 Finals at Snowfactor, Braehead on Wednesday 28th October, where they raced against the best 2 teams from each of the other qualification areas across Scotland.

They were up against very stiff competition at the Finals and after a marvellous afternoon of skiing and an extremely tense 'ski-off' for 2nd, 3rd and 4th places, they came in 3rd behind Jordanhill and St Cadoc's Schools, and won bronze medals. Huge congratulations to the team.

Teams B, C and D competed in the 'novice' section, and for many of the skiers it was their first ski race. They all skied extremely well. Team B was third and won bronze medals, and Teams C and D were fourth and fifth respectively. It was a really enjoyable day of skiing.
